Background:
• Request received from the Alberta Campus-Based Treatment Centres
• Youth ages 12-17 years are provided counselling and treatment
• Introduced at the 2024 Diocesan Conventions and the ABMK Provincial Convention
Treatment Centre Locations:
• Edmonton – Yellowhead Youth Centre
• Lac La Biche – Elk Lodge
• Lethbridge – Sifton House
Timeline:
• September 2024 to May 2025
• To be concluded at the 2025 ABMK Provincial Convention in Grande Prairie
Immediate Goal is 30 quilts
(More quilts are welcome to accommodate the revolving nature of the program)
• Preference: Twin Bed Dimensions: 70” X 95” (72 x 96 or 75 x 95)
• Lap Quilt dimension: 60” x 72”
• To be made with cloth or fleece (not a knitted or crotched blanket)
• Heart-shaped gift tag to be pinned to each quilt (as attached)
If you wish to Participate:
• Communicate with parish council members via emails or at your meeting
• Select a project lead in your parish.

Collection method:
• Quilts will be collected at the Regional Meetings by Diocesan Officers or contact Anthea Berdan for information.
